FALL 2025
Swiftly is a conceptual mobile-first design platform created as an extension of Canva ecosystem. The app enables instant, intuitive creative work on smartphones. Aimed at young adults and busy professionals, it turns any phone into a lightweight design studio — fast, accessible, personslized, and free of cluttered interfaces or lengthy workflows.
The project originated from comprehensive user research and competitive analysis of Canva’s mobile experience, which revealed critical gaps: excessive steps for simple tasks, interface overload on smaller screens, and limited support for spontaneous creativity among younger users. In response, Swiftly introduces a streamlined, human-centered solution featuring a vibrant gradient color system, adaptive typography based on Canva Sans with playful yet legible accents, and a cohesive visual identity grounded in empowerment, accessibility, and efficiency.
As the sole designer on this project, I developed the complete brand strategy, visual identity system, logo family, color palette, typography guidelines, tone-of-voice framework, and moodboard — all aligned with the core positioning: “Design anything, anytime, anywhere.”

THE BRAND
Swiftly is Canva's sub-brand designed for creators who move fast. It transforms your phone into a mini design studio, offering quick, reliable, and intuitive tools that make creativity effortless on the go.
CUSTOM EMOJI
Custom emojis embody the brand voice and strategically support headings across the app and all promotional materials. The "spark" icon, featured with the encouraging emoji, is used in brand color variations as a playful, creative decorative accent.
ICON
The icon combines Swiftly's signature encouraging emoji with the letter "S" from the wordmark. It works seamlessly as a favicon, app icon, or an alternative to the full logo on small surfaces.
TONE OF VOICE
The conversational, witty, and empowering tone of voice works alongside the bright visuals and bold headlines to create an approachable brand presence.
